
J'Tone ... The Author, Reporter, Screenwriter
The exquisite talents of J'Tone DaCosta can be found in his book of poetry, in his journalistic reports on crucial events in world history and through his screenplays. His lifelong work to educate the world about life and its joys and sorrows continues today as J'Tone continues to work on completing various novels and screenplays that may some day provide inspiration to his fans across the globe.

J'Tone the Author

Since publishing his book of poetry, "My City in Portrait & Song" in 1965, J'Tone has received critical acclaim as one of the country's most unique talents for his ability to reach the heart of the reader through his use of poetic license. His book was listed on the New York Times' Best Seller List in 2011 and, most recently, was converted into eBook format and is available in both Kindle and Nook format. The book takes the reader on the emotional ride that is J'Tone's life: his growing up in South Philly, his life as an actor and stuntman, his humanitarian endeavors and, most importantly, his life built around his wife Doreen and their 14 children. As a tribute to the talents of the author, the book is held in perpetuity at many schools, including Stockton State College in Pomona, NJ.
In addition, two epic novels are nearing completion: both dealling with the atrocities of war and the struggle for hiuman rights. "Where the River Shannon Flows" and "The Reunion" are scheduled for completion in the very near future.

J'Tone the Reporter
​In the early 1970s, J'Tone reported on the Ache Genocide in Paraguay.
In 1995, he reported on the 50th anniversary of World War II throughout the European Theater. Accompanying vets from many nations, J’Tone joined the anniversary celebration of the Liberation of Czech Republic by the U.S. Army and Air force in May 1945. In Praha (Prague), J’Tone was graced with the audience of fellow poet and president of the Czech Republic, Pavlov Havel at Prague Castle. Later, J’Tone presented the only audio recording of the president’s address to both his nations liberators and aggressors. During the commencements, J’Tone was introduced to several survivors of the Holocaust. Herr Eugene Zinner, whose father was a Jew, entrusted J’Tone with documents, personal cards and letters sent him from three separate work camps in Poland. These letters, documents, photos and audio tapes, addressed to his mother, who was a Christian are now among the many J’Tone delivered to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC.
